Emer Flavin

Emer Flavin has a diverse work experience spanning from 2014 to 2023. Emer started their career as a Manufacturing Engineering Intern at Boston Scientific in 2014 before becoming a Sales Associate at UCD Students' Union. Emer then returned to Boston Scientific as a Manufacturing Engineer within the drug eluting stent department.

Emer also worked at Neovasc Inc. as a Quality Engineer and Manufacturing Engineer on the Reducer team. Following that, they worked at Grouse Mountain as a Lift Operator, Lift Operations Lead, and eventually became a Lift Operations Supervisor.

Afterward, Emer joined Summit Reforestation & Forest Management LTD as a Tree Planter before securing a role as an Associate Quality Engineer at Moynihan Quality Consulting. Emer then worked as a QA Engineer at Zennea Technologies, where they performed various tasks related to quality management system implementation and coordination of the supplier qualification process.

Currently, Emer is employed as a Quality Engineer at CORCYM. Their responsibilities in this role include ensuring compliance to procedures, managing non-conformances, and supporting local and global quality teams in adhering to corporate quality policies and international standards and regulations.

Emer Flavin has an education history that includes a variety of academic achievements. In 2004, they graduated from Muckross Park College, although no degree or field of study was specified for this period. Emer later attended University College Dublin from 2010 to 2013, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Biomedical Engineering. Following this, they pursued a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Biomedical Engineering from the same institution, completing it in 2015. In 2022, Emer Flavin enrolled in Royal Roads University and obtained a Graduate Certificate in Climate Science and Policy. Additionally, in the year 2023, they received the Occupational First Aid level 2 certification from Metro Safety Training. Finally, in the same year 2022, they further pursued education at Royal Roads University and obtained another Graduate Certificate, this time in the Science and Policy of Climate Change.
