David Kamensky has a diverse work experience in various roles and positions. David started their career as an Intern at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory in 2006 and continued in different capacities until 2008. In 2009, they participated in an NSF-funded Research Experience for Undergraduates at Ohio Wesleyan University, where they worked on Python and C++ code for generating initial conditions for galaxy simulations. In 2010, they participated in another NSF-funded Research Experience for Undergraduates at the University of California, Davis, where they worked on a Common Lisp simulation code for studying the causal dynamical triangulation theory of quantum gravity. David'scontributions to the project were later acknowledged in the README file on GitHub.
After completing their undergraduate studies, David pursued further research as a Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Texas at Austin from 2012 to 2016. Following that, they joined the University of California San Diego as a Postdoctoral Scholar from 2016 to 2018. David then worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Brown University School of Engineering from 2018 to 2019.
In 2019, David started working as an Assistant Professor at the University of California San Diego. Currently, in 2023, they are a Software Developer at Coreform, where their precise start and end dates are not provided.
David Kamensky completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science at the University of Virginia in 2011. Following this, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computational Science, Engineering, and Mathematics (CSEM) at The University of Texas at Austin from 2011 to 2016.
