Maiclaire Bolton-Smith has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of hazard and risk management, specializing in earthquake and geological hazards. At CoreLogic, Maiclaire served as Vice President, Hazard & Risk Management, where they led research, thought leadership, and catastrophe event response for the Insurance Business. Maiclaire managed a team of experts and developed strategic value propositions. Additionally, they held the position of Senior Leader, Research & Content, where they owned and executed the editorial calendar for thought leadership content and podcasts across the enterprise.

Prior to CoreLogic, Maiclaire worked at Risk Management Solutions as the Manager of Earthquake Model Product Management. In this role, they were responsible for product management of earthquake models and engaged with clients to define model development agendas and provide hazard risk analyses.

Maiclaire also has experience in government organizations, including Emergency Management British Columbia, where they served as the Head of the Seismic Program. Here, they developed hazard assessments and mitigation plans for seismic hazards.

Earlier in their career, Maiclaire worked as a Seismologist at the International Seismological Centre and as a Seismology Assistant at the Geological Survey of Canada.
