David Vodak has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical and research industries. David started their career as a Research Chemist at bend research in 2004. David then moved up to the positions of Senior Research Scientist, Director of Research, and Vice President of Research at Bend Research, a division of Capsugel Dosage Form Solutions from 2006 to 2014. From 2014 to 2020, they served as the Senior Director of Pharmaceutical R&D at Capsugel. In 2020, they joined Lonza as the Executive Director, and later took on the role of Senior Director and Head of Small Molecules R&D until 2023. Currently, they are the Chief Science Officer at CoreRx, Inc.
David Vodak began their education by completing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry at Willamette University, studying from 1995 to 1999. David then pursued further academic achievements by attending the University of Michigan from 1999 to 2003. During this time, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Materials Science. To enhance their knowledge and expertise, David went on to join Scripps Research as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Physical Chemistry from 2003 to 2004.
