Karl Widak

Karl Widak, RPh, is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in pharmacy informatics and application analysis. Since February 2001, Karl has served as the Lead Application Analyst and Principal Trainer for the Epic Willow Inpatient Pharmacy Team at Oakwood Healthcare System, where contributions include implementing over 1200 beds across four full cycle installations. Karl also holds the position of Pharmacy Informatics Specialist with the Michigan Society of Health-System Pharmacists since January 2014, contributing to the Pharmacy Informatics and Technology Committee. Additionally, Karl has a longstanding involvement with the Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity since 1980 and previously served as Secretary for the Southeastern Michigan Society of Health-System Pharmacists from 2006 to 2012. A former PharmNet Team Lead at Trinity Health, Karl oversaw critical medication build processes in the Cerner EMR system. Karl earned a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from Wayne State University between 1978 and 1983.
