Sameer Merchant

Sameer Merchant is a highly experienced technology professional specializing in network architecture and security. Currently serving as a Senior Distinguished Engineer at Palo Alto Networks since May 2021, Sameer also holds significant roles at Corlina as Chief Technical Advisor and Chief Technical Officer, where Sameer defined the patented Trust Metric™ system for real-time assessment of IIoT device trustworthiness. Previous experience includes positions as Chief Technology Officer at Weavr and Lead Technical Consultant at Cumulus Networks, where Sameer played a key role in developing advanced monitoring solutions. Sameer has a strong background with Cisco, contributing as a Distinguished Engineer and Principal Engineer on various networking technologies and architectures. Early career experience includes co-founding XPliant and key engineering roles at Cisco Systems and Wipro Infotech. Sameer holds a CS Graduate Certificate in Mining Massive Data Sets from Stanford University and an M.Tech in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
