Murat Kunt

Murat Kunt is a Professor Emeritus at EPFL, having served in various academic capacities from 1976 until retirement, with a focus on Signal and Image Processing for 40 years. Kunt directed the Institute at EPFL and played a significant role in academic publishing as Editor-in-Chief for both Signal, Image and Video Processing and Signal Processing, a journal founded in 1978 with development pursued until 2004. Additionally, Kunt briefly held the position of General Chair at immerscom in 2007. Kunt earned both a Master of Science in Nuclear Physics and a Ph.D. in Image Compression from EPFL between 1963 and 1968.
