Controls Engineer at Cornerstone Automation Systems

Willow Felton has been working in the engineering industry since 2015. Willow began their career as a Land Surveyor for Urban Civil and a Customer Interaction for Bushs Chicken. In 2015, they were also a LIDAR Project Designer for Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. Here, they created a system utilizing both GPS and LIDAR sensors which was mounted on the side of a tractor in order to measure crop growth over time. In 2016, they became an Automation Specialist for Signature Automation where their primary duties involved technical AutoCAD schematics and modifications for wastewater plants designs. In 2018, they were a Control Specialist for Innovative-IDM. This position included designing electrical schematics and enclosure layouts for industrial automation systems, in addition to performing any required PLC/HMI/Drive programming. In 2019, they were an Automation Engineer for Tetra Pak, where their responsibilities involved finding possibilities for system improvements and implementing them effectively using a variation of the Toyota Production System. Currently, they are a Control System Engineer for Brock Solutions and a Controls Engineer for Cornerstone Automation Systems, LLC (CASI).

Willow Felton attended Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi from 2012 to 2017, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, a Certificate in Unmanned Aircraft Systems Applications, and a Minor in Mathematics. In February 2018, they obtained a Part 107 Unmanned Aircraft Pilot Certification from the Federal Aviation Administration.
