Bin Zhu

Bin Zhu is a seasoned materials science professional with extensive experience in thin film deposition and characterization, currently serving as a Senior Research Scientist and Research Associate at Corning Incorporated since March 2015. Expertise includes nano-fabrication of thin film transistors and waveguides, as well as the interaction between glass and TFTs. Prior experience includes postdoctoral research at Cornell University, focusing on In-Ga-Zn-O (IGZO) thin films for TFTs and leading research projects with graduate and undergraduate students. Bin Zhu also held a postdoctoral position at Stockholms University, exploring micromachining techniques for glass and ceramics, and has a background in new product development for ceramics in China. Bin Zhu holds a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from Zhejiang University and a BS in the same field from Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute.
