Matthew Heydon, MS, LPC, EMDR, is a seasoned mental health professional with extensive experience in various counseling and case management roles. Currently serving as a Mental Health Professional at Correctional Health Services Corp. since December 2022, Matthew's previous positions include Licensed Mental Health Associate at the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office and Licensed Counselor at Virtue Recovery Center. Matthew has demonstrated a commitment to supporting vulnerable populations, particularly homeless veterans, through initiatives such as developing employment programs, conducting assessments, and providing therapeutic interventions. With a Master's degree in Licensed Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Phoenix, Matthew utilizes a range of therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing, to foster positive outcomes for clients.
