Yun-Gi Kim

Yun-Gi Kim is currently a Professor at Kitasato University and a Scientific Advisor at Corundum Systems Biology. Previously, Yun-Gi served as a Professor at Keio University in the Research Center for Drug Discovery and held the position of Associate Professor at Vedanta Biosciences, Inc. as a Senior Scientist. Prior to that, Yun-Gi was a Research Investigator at the University of Michigan Medical School, focusing on the role of Nod2 mutations in Crohn’s disease and the gut microbiota in immunity and inflammation. Additional experience includes serving as an Assistant Professor at Tsukuba University and completing a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Michigan Medical School, where mechanistic studies were conducted on pattern recognition receptors and their role in the immune response. Yun-Gi earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Microbiology from Kitasato University.
