Giovanni Detomini

Giovanni Detomini has had a diverse work experience in the finance and consulting sectors. Giovanni started their career as an Intern/Analyst at Itaú BBA, where they gained experience in equity research and financial modeling. Giovanni then worked as a Consultant at FEA Júnior USP, a university consulting company. After that, they joined Finenge as a Consultant, where they participated in fundraising projects and provided financial advisory services to clients.

Following their time at Finenge, Giovanni joined Cosan as a Strategic Planning Senior Analyst, where they executed strategic studies and developed models for evaluating investment projects. Giovanni later became the Strategic Planning Coordinator, responsible for coordinating Cosan's 10-year business plan and conducting valuations of the company's subsidiaries. Giovanni then transitioned to the role of M&A Manager at Cosan, where they managed M&A activities and contributed to strategic planning.

Giovanni's next career move was to Rumo, the largest railroad operator in Latin America and a part of the Cosan Group. Giovanni initially served as the Head of M&A and Strategic Planning, overseeing strategic initiatives and contributing to the company's growth. Giovanni later took on the role of Director of Strategic Planning, M&A, and CAPEX, where they continued to play a key role in driving the company's strategic direction.

Most recently, Giovanni joined Cosan as the Finance Director, where they hold a leadership position responsible for financial management and strategy implementation.

Throughout their career, Giovanni has demonstrated a strong background in finance, strategic planning, and M&A, and has worked with various companies in Brazil, gaining valuable experience in different industries.

Giovanni Detomini has a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the School of Economics, Business, and Accounting at the University of São Paulo, obtained in the years 2004 to 2008. Giovanni also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Executive Finance from Insper Instituto de Ensino e Pesquisa, completed between 2013 and 2015. In 2018, Giovanni completed the High Impact Leadership Programme at INSEAD for Executive Education. Additionally, they have obtained certifications such as the Certificação Nacional do Profissional de Investimento (CNPI), the Certificação Profissional ANBID série 20 (CPA20), and the Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) from the University of Cambridge.
