Jen Chan, CMDA, EIT has had a varied and successful career in engineering and management. Starting in 2014, they worked as a RyeACCESS Coordinator for the Ryerson Students' Union and a Research Assistant for the Diversity Institute. In 2015, they were selected as one of 20 program participants out of over 700 applicants for the Students for Social Impact Intern program at Monwel Signs & Services. In 2016, they worked as a Crew Leader for Statistics Canada for the 2016 Census, a Peer Trainer for the Office of the Vice President, Equity and Community Inclusion at Ryerson University, and a Fellow for Venture for Canada. From 2017 to 2019, they worked as a Product Operations Manager, Quality Analyst, Quality Control Engineer, and Quality Engineering Specialist (Devices) for Eve Medical. Finally, in 2022, they began their current role as Quality Engineering Lead at Cosm Medical.
Jen Chan obtained a Bachelor of Engineering in Biomedical Engineering from Toronto Metropolitan University in 2017. In 2019, Jen Chan obtained a Certified Medical Device Auditor (CMDA) certification from ASQ - World Headquarters. Jen Chan is also an Engineer in Training (EIT).
