Antonella Varbaro

Antonella Varbaro has extensive experience in the cruise industry, with a focus on human resources and talent development. Antonella started their career in 2000 as the Corporate Shore Excursions Manager for Festival Cruises, where they managed the shore excursion department and oversaw the design, recruitment, and marketing of tours. Antonella then worked for TUI as a Cruise Handling Manager, responsible for managing cruise operations. In 2006, they joined Progress International Excellence.Service.Success as a Senior Consultant, specializing in coaching, training, and destination management. In this role, they developed training courses for various onboard departments. In 2013, Antonella joined Costa Crociere S.p.A. as the Culture, Employer Branding and Fleet Development Director, focusing on cultural and leadership model evolution, coordination, diversity and inclusion, and managerial training and development. Antonella later served as the Fleet Hotel Human Resources Director, responsible for hotel talent acquisition. Antonella then became the Costa Campus Director, overseeing employer branding, talent acquisition, training, and development for both shipboard and shoreside personnel. Antonella also has experience as a Training Center Director and Leadership and Development Director.

Antonella Varbaro has a Certified Neuro Linguistic Programming Master Practitioner degree from NLP Italy Coaching School, which they obtained in 2016. From 1992 to 1998, they were an Assistente e ricercatrice at Luiss Guido Carli University, specializing in Relazioni Internazionali e geopolitica. Antonella also holds a Laurea in Scienze Politiche with a focus in Indirizzo Internazionale e Comunitario from the same university, which they earned from 1987 to 1991. Antonella Varbaro is a member of the Membro Comitato Tecnico Scientifico Accademia Italiana Marina Mercantile since 2016 and is also a member of the Membro della Commissione Education di Confitarma since 2013.
