Roberto Cordero Piazze has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Roberto was first employed by Armada de Chile as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer from February 1995 to March 1998. Following this, they joined Minera Los Maitenes as a Plant Maintenance Manager from April 1998 to November 1999.
In 1999, Roberto began working for Bureau Veritas Group and served in multiple positions. Roberto started as the Management System Certification Manager from December 1999 to December 2002. Roberto then became the Industry Manager from January 2003 to October 2004, followed by the Commercial Manager from November 2004 to December 2006. From January 2007 to December 2008, they worked as the Director of Operations before assuming the role of Director for Certification, Food Testing, Environmental Services & Product Certification from January 2009 to January 2012. Finally, they became the Vice President: Metals & Minerals from January 2012 to May 2014, and eventually the Country Chief Executive from June 2014 to July 2019.
Currently, Roberto holds positions at Cotecna Inspection. Roberto began as the Vice President - South America from August 2019 to December 2020, and then transitioned to their current role as the Vice President - Latin America from January 2021 onwards.
Roberto Cordero Piazze completed an Executive Education Program at The Wharton School in 2018. Roberto obtained a Grado en Ingeniería in Civil Mechanical Engineering from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso between 1987 and 1992. Additionally, they completed a Diplomado in Business Management at Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez in 2008, and a Diplomado in Marketing at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile in 2005.
