Michael D. DeShazer

Michael DeShazer is currently the Vice President of Business Units at Coterra Energy, where oversight includes operations and development for the Permian and Anadarko Business Units and leadership of the Asset Evaluation Team. Prior experience includes a tenure at Cimarex Energy, serving as Vice President of the Permian Business Unit, where significant projects involved integrating multiple departments and leading the evaluation and acquisition of Resolute Energy. Michael also held various engineering roles, managing teams responsible for reservoir engineering and technology implementation, contributing to the development of significant plays in the Delaware Basin and Gulf Coast regions. Michael holds a Master’s Degree in Energy Business and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from The University of Tulsa.
