Joe Harris

Joe Harris serves as Vice Chair for the Local Government Association since July 2021 and leads the Liberal Democrat Group. As a leader of Cotswold District Council since May 2011, Joe Harris also holds the role of District Councillor and serves as a shareholder representative for Cotswold District Council at Publica Group Ltd. Additionally, Joe Harris has been a County Councillor for Gloucestershire County Council since May 2013 and chairs the Gloucestershire Economic Growth Scrutiny Committee. Previous experience includes an executive board member role for the District Councils' Network from June 2019 to July 2021, a freelance position as a Social Media and Online Content Manager until February 2019, and serving as a Town Councillor and Mayor of Cirencester from May 2011 to August 2016. Early work experiences include roles at The Crown in Cirencester and Cirencester Cyber Cafe, alongside education at Cirencester College and Cirencester Deer Park School.
