Matthew MacLachlan

Matthew MacLachlan currently serves as the Head of Learning Innovation at Country Navigator, focusing on enhancing cultural intelligence and inclusivity within organizations through practical learning solutions. In addition, Matthew co-hosts The Hippo Question Podcast, which explores cultural intelligence and its impact on guests' lives. Previously, Matthew was the Learning and Development Manager at the University of Surrey, where responsibilities included overseeing staff development and promoting diversity and inclusion initiatives. With extensive experience in intercultural training and communication skills, Matthew has held senior roles at Learnlight and Communicaid, as well as managing intercultural training at Farnham Castle Intercultural Training. Matthew's educational background includes degrees from The University of Sheffield, Nottingham Trent University, and the University of the West of England, highlighting expertise in intercultural communication and leadership.
