David Savory

David Savory is an accomplished GIS professional with extensive experience in geospatial support and analysis. Currently serving as GIS Supervisor for the County of San Mateo since March 2017, David manages a GIS team and oversees activities such as data processing, quality assurance, and spatial modeling. David's previous roles include GIS Specialist at the University of California, San Francisco, where management of geospatial data for global health initiatives took place, and Sr GIS Analyst for Gap Inc., focusing on market area mapping and demographic reporting. David's career includes founding Wine Atlas, LLC, and working as an independent GIS consultant. David holds a Master of Science in Geographic Information Systems/Remote Sensing from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a Bachelor of Science in Soil Science from Colorado State University, and an Associate of Arts and Sciences in Horticultural Science from the State University of New York at Delhi.
