Ivaylo Tsankov

Ivaylo Tsankov is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in online learning solutions. Currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer and Tech Lead at Coursera since September 2019, Ivaylo has been instrumental in redefining online education standards. Prior to Coursera, Ivaylo contributed as a Senior Software Engineer at Rhyme.com, leading the development of the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and establishing the full stack for the application during its early development. Earlier experience includes a role as a C++ Developer at Proznanie Jsc, focusing on high throughput video and audio streaming using WebRTC, and serving as a Teaching Assistant at Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski. Ivaylo holds a Bachelor's degree in Informatics from Sofia University, completed in 2016.
