Joel Fischer

Joel Fischer began their career in 2010 as a Software Engineer Intern at Advanced Systems and Controls, where they were trained to use specialized programming languages such as Ladder Logic and SCL. In 2011, they worked as a Summer Hire Software Designer at TARDEC. From 2012 to 2022, they worked at Livio, Inc. - Subsidiary of Ford Motor Company, where they held the roles of Mobile Team Lead and Software Engineer. As Software Engineer, they were in charge of all iOS projects and integrations, and was the lead maintainer of the SmartDeviceLink iOS library. Joel also worked at Livio Radio as a Software Engineering Intern, building mobile apps and developer tools written in Java, Objective C, and HTML/JavaScript. Finally, they worked at Pyramid Solutions, Inc. as a Software Engineer, building widgets for the IBM Content Manager Platform in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JQuery. Joel is currently employed as a Software Engineer (iOS) at Covenant Eyes.

Joel Fischer attended Lawrence Technological University from 2008 to 2012, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) with Honors in Computer Science, with a concentration in Scientific Software Development. Joel then attended Biola University from 2015 to 2018, where they earned a Master's degree in Christian Apologetics.
