Jazzmin Lu

Jazzmin Lu has a diverse range of work experience, starting with their current role as Head of Sales and Growth at Coverage Cat. Prior to that, they were a Graduate Student at the University of Colorado Denver from August 2021 to November 2022.

From September 2017 to May 2021, Jazzmin worked as an Online Counselor at Collegewise, providing academic advising and project management for over 50 students annually. Additionally, they co-created and launched the Collegewise Scholarship program, overseeing the application process, candidate selection, and training.

Before their time at Collegewise, Jazzmin served as an Assistant Dean of Admissions at Pomona College from July 2015 to September 2017. In this role, they managed admissions for multiple territories, developed recruitment strategies, evaluated applications, and facilitated diversity-focused communications and events.

From June 2014 to June 2015, Jazzmin was a Fellow at the non-profit organization 12+, where they maintained and analyzed metrics related to college applications and provided workshops and translation services for parents. Prior to that, they worked as a TLC Program College Tutor at the Pomona Unified School District, managing an after-school program and providing academic support.

Jazzmin also has experience in college admissions, having served as a Summer Recruitment Coordinator at Yale Undergraduate Admissions in 2013. In this role, they managed social media accounts and evaluated marketing effectiveness. Jazzmin also worked as a Freshman Scholars at Yale Residential Counselor during the summer of 2013.

Furthermore, Jazzmin has been involved in various peer liaison and internship roles, including serving as a Peer Liaison at La Casa Cultural Julia de Burgos from May 2012 to May 2013 and an intern at the Lesbian Herstory Archives in the summer of 2012.

Jazzmin Lu completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from Yale University in the years 2009 to 2013. Jazzmin then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Marketing/Marketing Management, General from the University of Colorado Denver Business School from 2021 to 2022. In addition to their formal education, Jazzmin also obtained several certifications in various areas of marketing. These include certifications in Graphic Elements of Design: Color Theory and Image Formats and Basic Elements of Design: Design Principles and Software Overview from Coursera in September 2021 and August 2021, respectively. Jazzmin also received certifications in Content Marketing, Social Media Marketing, and SEO from HubSpot Academy in March 2022, February 2022, and August 2022, respectively.
