Matthew Vickery, CPA

Matthew Vickery, CPA has worked in a variety of roles since 2007. Matthew began their career as a Part-Time Annual with the Kankakee Valley Park District, before moving on to become a Finance and Accounting Tutor at SIU Carbondale in 2014. That same year, they also began working as a Technician at Burris Equipment Company, where they developed a new 4 tier placement and inspection system. In 2012, they joined the Illinois Army National Guard as an Emergency Care Sergeant, and in 2016 they became a Teaching Assistant for Online Undergraduate Programs. In 2017, they joined KPMG as a Tax Associate, and in 2019 they began working as an Accountant at Cedarhurst Senior Living. Currently, they are the Business Administration Lead at CoverCress Inc.

Matthew Vickery, CPA has a diverse educational background. Matthew obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Finance, Investments from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale in 2014. Matthew then returned to the same university and obtained their Master's Degree in Accountancy in 2017. In addition, they have obtained various certifications, such as a CPR Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association | American Stroke Association in 2015, a Bloomberg Skills Certificate from Bloomberg LP in 2014, an EMT-B from the NREMT in 2015, and a CPA from the Illinois Board Of Examiners.
