UMER ADNAN

Umer Adnan has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. UMER is currently serving as the Co-Founder & CEO of Cowlar Design Studio since October 2020. Prior to that, they held the position of President & CEO at Cowlar starting from May 2015. Cowlar specializes in developing technology to help dairy farmers optimize operations, improve herd health, and increase milk yield.

Before their involvement with Cowlar, Umer Adnan co-founded and served as the CEO of E4 Technologies, an end-to-end product development and design studio. In 2016, Cowlar spun out from E4 Technologies, and all intellectual property of E4 Tech is now owned by Cowlar.

Furthermore, Umer Adnan served as the Co-President of the ASU Energy Club while studying at Arizona State University from August 2011 to June 2013. UMER actively participated in various energy-related projects and events during their tenure, such as attending the BERC Energy Symposium and providing feedback on Solar PV design.

Prior to their university years, Umer Adnan founded and owned Solarize Inc. from December 2008 to August 2011. Solarize Inc. focused on designing, developing, manufacturing, marketing, and selling uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems. UMER'sindigenous UPS design was commercially sold in three cities in Pakistan.

Umer Adnan also worked as a Design Engineer in Research and Development at KBK Electronics (Pvt.) Ltd. from August 2009 to April 2011. During this time, they completed the full development life-cycle of a three-phase energy meter and gained insights into validation, verification, testing, manufacturing processes, and quality control.

Adding to their experience, Umer Adnan served as a Team Leader for a design project on mechatronics in collaboration with Akhter Solar Limited. The project aimed to develop a cost-effective single-axis intelligent solar tracker with maximum power point tracking.

Throughout their career, Umer Adnan has demonstrated a strong passion for technology, product development, and sustainable energy solutions.

Umer Adnan's education history begins in 1996 when they attended Bahria College. UMER completed their High Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) in Pre-Engineering in 1998. Following this, they enrolled at Army Burn Hall College from 2003 to 2005. During this time, they pursued their passion for Pre-Engineering. Umer Adnan went on to study at the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) from 2005 to 2009, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering. UMER'sstudies included Mechatronics systems, Instrumentation & Control Systems, Automation, Embedded systems, and Robotics. In 2011, Umer Adnan pursued further education at Arizona State University, earning a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from 2011 to 2013. Lastly, in 2017, they attended the prestigious Y Combinator, although the specific degree attained or field of study pursued is not specified.
