Nicola McLaren

Nicola McLaren, CPA, CA, is a seasoned accounting professional with extensive experience in both public practice and professional development roles. Currently serving as Vice President of Professional Development and Learning at the Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia (CPABC), Nicola leads the development and delivery of training programs for over 38,000 CPA members, emphasizing lifelong learning and member support. Previous roles include Director of Professional Development at CPABC, Business Manager at North Vancouver District Public Library, and owner/manager of Nicola D McLaren Inc., a public practice accounting firm. Nicola's early career included positions as Associate at Elliott Tulk Pryce Anderson/Manning Elliott and Senior Staff Accountant at Melville Matthew & Campbell, alongside an articling position at Yada, Tompkins, Humphries, Palmer & Co/Ernst & Young.
