Emanuele Monza

Emanuele Monza has a diverse range of work experience in the fields of computational protein engineering, scientific consulting, and research.

Starting in 2023, Emanuele worked as a Computational Protein Engineer at Cradle.

Prior to that, in 2022, Emanuele worked as a Scientific & Business Consultant, providing computational chemistry services and business development support.

From 2017 to 2021, Emanuele was the Founder & Chief Scientific Officer at Zymvol Biomodeling SL. In this role, they led a team of scientists, developed enzymatic transformations, and oversaw software development and customer services.

In 2012, Emanuele worked as a Pre Doctoral Fellow at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center, where they developed a computational methodology for enzyme redesign and published several articles.

Emanuele also had a brief stint as a Visiting Researcher at the University of Copenhagen in 2014.

Emanuele began their career in 2010 as a Research Assistant Intern at the Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche, where they developed a new quantum mechanical index of local aromaticity and published various papers.

Emanuele Monza has a strong educational background spanning several years. In 2006, they began their academic journey at Università degli Studi di Milano, where they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry. After successfully completing their undergraduate studies, Emanuele continued their educational pursuits at the same institution, obtaining a Master's Degree in Chemistry from 2009 to 2011.

Seeking further advancement in their field, Emanuele Monza enrolled at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in 2012. Over the course of four years, they focused on Computational and Applied Physics, culminating in the completion of a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in 2016.

Expanding their knowledge beyond their scientific background, Emanuele pursued additional studies at Esade in 2020 and 2021. In 2020, they engaged in a program focused on "Liderazgo de personas y gestión de equipos" (Leadership and Team Management). In 2021, they furthered their expertise with a course titled "Innovación estratégica" (Strategic Innovation) at the same institution.
