Paul Burns has a diverse work experience spanning across various industries. Paul most recently worked at Craigmore Sustainables as a Partner, Head of Acquisitions & Corporate Finance. Paul'srole involved managing the M&A process, focusing on share-based transactions, equity, debt, and mez debt in the Dairy, Horticulture, and agri tech/innovation sectors. Paul was also responsible for strategy development, contract negotiation, and investment appraisal analysis. Prior to that, they held the position of Partner & Group Chief Financial Officer, Head of Acquisitions at Craigmore, where they managed farms in New Zealand with a focus on sustainability.
Paul also served as an Independent Director at Opuha Water Limited, where they focused on sustainable growth and oversaw the management of a dam storing water for irrigation, environmental flows, and hydro electricity generation. In addition, they founded The Urban Shed, a platform for discussing topics related to New Zealand Food & Fibre. Paul has also served as Chairman and Director at Pahau Dairy Limited.

Paul Burns attended Rainey Endowed Grammar School from 1991 to 1998. Paul then studied Mechanical Engineering at Newcastle University from 1998 to 2001, earning a BEng (Hons) degree. Paul continued their education at Newcastle University, where they obtained an MA in International Business Management from 2001 to 2002.
