Daqing Yang has a diverse work experience in the aerospace industry. Their most recent role was as a Principal Air Vehicle Design Engineer at Cranfield Aerospace Solutions, starting in May 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Teaching Fellow at Imperial College London from February 2020 to May 2023. From November 2017 to February 2020, Daqing was a Research Fellow at Cranfield University. They also worked as an Aircraft performance, stability and control engineer at COMAC BASTRI from March 2012 to October 2017. Their earliest work experience was as a Student Placement Stress Engineer at Magellan Aerospace UK from September 2004 to July 2005.
Daqing Yang completed a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Aerospace System Engineering from the University of Hertfordshire from 2002 to 2006. Following that, from 2007 to 2011, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Stability and control of aircraft with seamless aeroelastic wing from Cranfield University.
