Gary Blount has worked in the engineering industry since 2005. gary began their career at Airbus Group as a Design Engineer. In 2007, they moved to Peters Engineering as Engineering Chief Designer/Manager, where they managed day-to-day projects and provided design leadership. In 2011, they joined Jet Aviation as a Design Engineer, working on projects such as Generic Floor Attachment for all/any units for Airbus/Boeing and Business Jet VIP. From 2013-2016, they worked at FACC AG as a Design Engineer on the Embraer Legacy 450/500 project. gary then moved to RUAG Aviation as a Design Engineer in 2016. In 2017, they joined Fokker Techniek as a Design Engineer, working on concept design for new seat track Instl. and Linings in Fwd (floor to floor-conical section). In 2018, they worked at Jamco as a Source Inspector (Airbus). In 2019, they moved to Alstom as a Mechanical Design Engineer. In 2021, they joined Fokker Techniek B.V. as a Mechanical Design Engineer. Currently, they are a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at Cranfield Aerospace Solutions.
Gary Blount's education history consists of a C & G 255 Full Technical Certificate from Guildford County College of Technology in Mechanical Engineering, which they obtained between 1975 and 1980, and a 5 Years EITB Technician Apprenticeship from Henshalls in Mechanical Engineering, which they also obtained between 1975 and 1980.
