Raj (SB) Rajur is the founder and CEO of CreaGen, Inc., a company that provides preclinical drug discovery research services. Raj (SB) established CreaGen in 2002, offering services such as medicinal chemistry, synthesis and purification, and antibody drug conjugates. Additionally, Rajur oversees CreaGen Life Science Accelerator (C2I), which provides laboratory space for life science start-up companies.
In 2021, Rajur became the chair of the North Eastern Section of ACS (NESACS). Prior to this, they held the position of Medicinal Chemistry Chair at ACS & NESACS from 2004.
Between 2010 and the present, Rajur has been the MA CRO CMO (Contract Research Organizations/Contract Manufacturing Organizations) Forum Co-Chair at MassBio. Raj (SB)'srole involves organizing and promoting the MA CRO/CMO community, facilitating collaborations, and attracting new companies to the Boston area.
Earlier in their career, Rajur worked as a Group Leader in the Applications and Development Department: Ion Channel Research at ArQule from 1997 to 2002. Raj (SB) also served as an Instructor at Massachusetts General Hospital from 1995 to 1998, conducting research on novel antisense molecules.
Rajur's academic experience includes being an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Northeastern University from 1996 to 1998 and a Research Associate at Boston College from 1990 to 1993.
Raj (SB) Rajur obtained a Ph.D. in Organic/Medicinal Chemistry with a focus on Natural products from Karnataka University, Dharwad, between 1982 and 1987. Additionally, they served as a Research Associate in Nucleic Acid Chemistry at Boston College and pursued further studies in Medicinal Chemistry and Gene Therapy at Harvard Medical School - Massachusetts General Hospital.
