Alison Van Arsdel

Engineer Technologist (R&D) at Creare

Alison Van Arsdel has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Alison began their career as a General Psychotherapist and Substance Abuse Clinician at VTPSA/CMC, where they conducted clinical interviews, managed programs, and provided therapy for clients. Alison also worked at Clara Martin Center as a Substance Abuse Clinician, managing an intensive outpatient program and handling case management.

In 2005, Alison transitioned to HCRS as a Relationship Skills Instructor, supporting individuals in developing healthy relationship skills. Alison then joined State of Vermont as an Educator, where they worked for a year teaching and facilitating educational programs.

Alison's engineering career started with roles such as a Test Support Engineer Intern at Fujifilm Dimatix and an Engineering Intern at Solaflect Energy. In these roles, they performed tests on ink delivery systems and solar trackers, compiled support manuals, and collaborated with teams to improve products and manufacturing processes.

Alison also has experience in education and online teaching. Alison worked at TAL Education Group as an Online English Instructor, creating lesson plans and teaching English to Chinese students. Additionally, at Creare, they served as an Engineer Technologist (R&D), where they wrote technical documentation, created user content, and developed training materials.

Their most recent position was at Inner Traditions International, where they worked as an Audio Book Quality Control specialist, ensuring the quality of audio books.

Throughout their career, Alison has demonstrated skills in technical writing, documentation, teaching, program management, and customer support. Alison has also testified in court and generated reports and recommendations.

Alison Van Arsdel has a diverse education history. Alison graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, cum laude. Later, they pursued a field of study in Mediation at Champlain College in 2021. Alison also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electromechanical Engineering from Vermont Technical College, which was completed by the year 2015. Prior to that, they obtained an Associate's Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from the same institution in 2014. Lastly, Alison has pursued a Master's Degree in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College (CUNY). Additionally, they have obtained a certification in 10-hour OSHA from the institution OSHA, although the exact year of completion is unknown.
