Anca Barbu

Anca Barbu has extensive work experience in the banking industry, with a focus on cards and alternative delivery channels operations. Since August 2021, they have been working as the Head of Cards & Alternative Delivery Channels Operations Division at CREDIT EUROPE BANK (ROMANIA) S.A., where they coordinate and improves activities such as cards operations, fraud management, customer support, and customer complaints. Anca also maintains relationships with VISA/Mastercard and other bank representatives.

Prior to their current role, Anca held the position of Head of Cards Issuing & Operations Division at Credit Europe Bank from January 2012 to August 2021. In this role, they oversaw cards authorization, fraud management, customer support, and other related activities. Anca acted as a key liaison between the bank's departments and external parties, set objectives and deadlines, and managed relationships with VISA/Mastercard and co-working third parties.

Before joining Credit Europe Bank, Anca served as a Chargeback Team Leader at CREDIT EUROPE BANK ROMANIA from August 2006 to January 2012. Anca'sresponsibilities included coordinating and improving the activities related to cards fraud and chargebacks, updating internal procedures, and managing records and databases related to disputes and fraud.

Anca Barbu holds a Master's degree in International Relations and Affairs from the Academy of Economic Studies - Bucharest, which they completed from 2001 to 2003. Prior to that, they earned a Licentiate degree in International Relations and Affairs from the Romanian-American University - Bucharest, graduating between 1997 and 2001. Recently, Anca obtained a certification in Oxford Cyber Security for Business Leaders from the University of Oxford in 2021.
