Randal Behounek

Randal Behounek has a diverse work experience across various organizations. Randal started their career in 1993 as a System Administrator/Manager at Sarpy County, where they oversaw LAN/WAN connections and managed IT systems. Randal then worked at ConAgra Foods as an Information Security Coordinator, administering data and physical security and developing disaster recovery plans.

In 2000, they joined Sarpy County as a Senior Audit Technology Leader, managing a team and providing technology support to internal auditors. Randal then moved to First National Bank of Omaha, where they served as an IS Audit Specialist, conducting IT audits and overseeing the Information Assessment team. Randal was later promoted to Senior Information Assurance Manager, where they managed data and physical security assessments across the enterprise.

Behounek joined Trustwave in 2014 as an Information Security Consultant, managing client relationships and providing information security consultation services. Randal then joined Bank of the West as a Information Technology Auditor, leading audit projects and providing guidance on technical security issues.

At Bank of the West, Behounek also held roles in Cybersecurity, where they led a team focused on assessing third-party service providers, and in Cybersecurity & Technology Risk, where they established and managed the bank's strategic direction for cyber and technology risk activities.

Currently, Behounek holds the role of Head of Third-Party Risk Management at Credit One Bank. In this position, they are responsible for overseeing the assessment and mitigation of risks associated with the bank's relationships with external third parties. Randal develops strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure third-party engagements align with the bank's risk tolerance and compliance requirements.

Randal Behounek holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a Master's degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Randal has also obtained several certifications, including Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE) from ISACA in 2020, Certified Third Party Risk Professional (CTPRP) from Shared Assessments in 2016, and Payment Card Industry Professional (PCIP) and Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) from the PCI Security Standards Council in 2015. In addition, they hold the Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) certification from ISACA in 2011.
