Lisa Mixon, PMP has over 20 years of work experience, starting in 2001 as a Project Coordinator at the NC Department of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention. In 2005, they joined BB&T as a Project Analyst. From 2008 to 2011, Lisa worked as a Project Manager at Georgia Health Sciences University. Since 2011, they have been with the Credit Union of Colorado, initially as a Project Manager and then progressing to PMO Manager, Director of Project Management, Director of Strategic Operations, and currently serving as the Vice President of Operations.

Lisa Mixon, PMP has a diverse and extensive education history. Lisa started their educational journey in 1995 at Liberty University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Psychology in 1998.

Following their undergraduate studies, Lisa pursued higher education at North Carolina State University from 2003 to 2005. Lisa obtained a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree with a focus on Public Administration during this time.

Lisa continued their educational pursuits in the field of Information Technology and Communication Management at the University of Denver. Lisa started their studies in 2015 and is expected to complete their Graduate Certificate program in 2024.

In addition to their formal degrees, Lisa has pursued various certifications. Lisa obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in 2007 and the Master Project Manager certification from the AAPM ® American Academy of Project Management ® in 2014. Lisa also holds the ITIL Foundation Level certification from the ITIL Foundation Certification Training Level, obtained in 2018, and the Prosci® Certified Change Practitioner certification from Prosci, obtained in June 2021. Additionally, Lisa holds the Certified in Change Management certification from Change Guides, though the specific date of attainment is unknown.

Lisa's commitment to continuous learning is evident in their recent participation in the altMBA44 program offered by Seth Godin's Akimbo Workshops, which they started in 2020.
