Murali Katta

Murali Katta's work experience includes a variety of roles in different companies. Murali started their career in 1995 as a Sales Supervisor at Wipro Consumer Care and Lighting, where they handled distributors in Gulbarga and Mysore areas. During this time, they gained exposure to multiple channels and conducted a successful beauty queen contest.

In 1997, Murali joined PepsiCo as a Customer Executive, where they worked on increasing Pepsi's market share through distribution corrections and increased visibility to retailers. Murali also implemented various marketing strategies such as wall paintings, cooler placements, and lit/non-lit boards.

In 2000, they moved to Elf Lubricants as an Area Executive, responsible for managing a specific territory. After two years, they joined Reliance Communications, where they held various roles including Retail Vertical Head, Product Lead, and handling end-to-end operations of Fixed Wireless Phone (FWP) business. Murali achieved significant success in increasing FWP activations through innovative marketing strategies and partnerships with micro-credit organizations.

From 2009 to 2019, Murali worked at Idea Cellular Ltd as the GM of Business Operations and Prepaid Vertical. Murali was responsible for sales and distribution, customer acquisition, revenue growth, profitability, and business development. Murali managed a team of ASMs and Sales Officers and achieved remarkable milestones such as appointing over 300 distributors in the first year and peaking to 50,000+ MNP (Mobile Number Portability) in a month.

Currently, Murali is employed at CreditAccess Grameen Limited as the AVP of Digital Payments and Small Business Loans, a position they have held since March 2020.

Murali Katta completed their Bachelor of Commerce degree in Business/Commerce, General from S.D.G.S. Degree College, Hindupur, from 1990 to 1993. Murali then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing from Sri Krishnadevaraya University from 1993 to 1995.

In addition to their formal education, Murali Katta has obtained various certifications. These include certifications such as "Mastering Self-Leadership," "Overcome Overthinking," "Practices for Regulating Your Nervous System and Reducing Stress," and "The Secret to Better Decisions: Stop Hoarding Chips," which were obtained from LinkedIn in February 2022.
