Jonathan Marks

Jonathan Marks has extensive experience in the real estate industry, particularly in the healthcare sector. Jonathan has been a Managing Principal at Cresa since February 2022, where they are responsible for overseeing the New Jersey office and providing real estate strategy advice to medical groups, health systems, and corporations. Prior to that, they served as a Principal at Cresa from July 2013 to February 2022, where they advised corporations, medical groups, and hospital systems on their real estate portfolio strategy and office locations, and facilitated transactions totaling over $250,000,000.

Before joining Cresa, Jonathan held various positions in different industries. Jonathan was the VP Sales/Business Development at Jomar Industries Inc/MMI from May 2004 to July 2015. Jonathan also worked as a Business Consultant at OgilvyAction/American Express from June 2010 to March 2012, and as a Pharmaceutical Sales Rep at Merck from January 2009 to March 2010.

Jonathan's earlier experience includes working as an Associate at Vested Capital Partners from April 2007 to April 2009, where they had a focus on investment banking and strategic advisory in healthcare, technology, and finance. Jonathan also had a Summer Analyst role at Morgan Stanley in May 2003. Throughout their career, Jonathan has demonstrated expertise in building relationships, overseeing business plans, conducting due diligence, and negotiating deals.

Jonathan Marks graduated from Brandeis University in 2004 with a focus on Economics and International Business. In 2022, they completed the Advanced Finance Program at The Wharton School. In addition to their formal education, Jonathan also obtained multiple certifications in various finance-related subjects, including Corporate Valuation, Distressed Asset Investing and Corporate Restructuring, Shareholder Activism and Corporate Governance, Venture Capital, and Real Estate Salesperson. Jonathan is also certified as a Broker Salesperson and Broker of Record by the NJ Department of Banking & Insurance - Real Estate Commission.
