Firas Echtay has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Firas is currently serving as the Head of Infrastructure at Crescent Petroleum since December 2019. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Project Manager at Royal HaskoningDHV from July 2018 to December 2019, where they managed multiple projects, set budgets, prepared proposals, and ensured timely project deliverables. From September 2011 to July 2018, they worked as a Project Manager at PMDC Project Management and Design Consultants, overseeing projects for various clients, both in the public and private sectors. Firas started their career as a Project Engineer at Saudi Oger Ltd. from July 2007 to August 2011 and earlier as a Mechanical Engineer at Dar Al Handasah from July 2006 to July 2007.
Firas Echtay completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the American University of Beirut from 2002 to 2006. Later on, they pursued a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Bradford School of Management, studying from 2014 to 2019. In addition to their formal education, Firas also obtained a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI in October 2010.
