Katie Shields

Katie Shields, MBA, has extensive experience in social service coordination with a focus on health and developmental support. Currently serving as a Direct Services Care Coordinator at CrescentCare since November 2011, Katie manages services funded by the Ryan White grant for individuals with HIV, overseeing a caseload of approximately 70 clients while conducting intake assessments and facilitating access to medical care and resources. Previously, as a Support Coordinator Supervisor at Quality Support Coordination from 2007 to 2011, Katie coordinated Medicaid Waiver services for individuals with developmental disabilities, supervised a team of case managers, and ensured compliance with state regulations. Earlier experience includes coordinating a community-based mentoring program for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southeast Louisiana in 2006. Katie holds an MBA specializing in Operations and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, both from Loyola University New Orleans.
