Steve Morrell has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Steve currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Crestone Services Group, a $100 million private equity (PE) backed provider of infrastructure deployment services for communication and utility customers. In this role, they focus on back office integration, ERP implementation, working capital management, and building revenue and cost synergies.
Prior to their current position, Steve worked as a Financial Consultant and later as the CFO for Energy Fishing and Rental Services, Inc, a PE backed mid-market oil field services firm. Steve guided the company through the COVID-19 downturn, leading to the successful buy-out of the debt and preservation of the business.
Steve also held the position of CFO at G2 Integrated Solutions, a PE backed consulting, engineering, and service company that provides solutions for utility, pipeline, and other energy stakeholders. Steve played a key role in leading the company through a successful sale process.
Before these roles, Steve served as the CFO for CARBER®, a PE owned global specialty industrial services company focused on the petrochemicals industry, and Tervita Corporation, a Canadian oil field services company. Steve also worked as the VP Finance (US CFO) for a $300 million division of Tervita Corporation, where they redesigned and built out the finance organization to support rapid growth.
Steve's earlier experience includes roles as the VP Finance (Acting CFO) at Trico Marine, Group Treasurer at Rinker Materials, and VP Finance and Treasurer at US Airways. Steve also held various financial leadership positions at US Airways, including VP Financial Planning and Analysis, Managing Director Treasury and Assistant Treasurer, and Director - Treasury Operations. Before their corporate career, Steve served as a Surface Warfare Officer in the US Navy.

Steve Morrell completed their BA in Economics from the University of Rochester from 1981 to 1985. Steve then pursued further education and earned an MBA with a specialization in Finance from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business from 1992 to 1994.
