George Woods, M.D., L.F.A.P.A. has a diverse and extensive work experience. George'smost recent position is as a Community Director for the Stanford University Medical Partners Board of Directors. George is also a Member of the Board of Advisors for Grr-ithm Mira and the Judges and Psychiatrists' Leadership Initiative Substance Use Advisory Group. In 2019, Dr. Woods became a Governing Board Member for the Stanford University Health Alliance (MSSP) Accountable Care Organization, LLC.

Additionally, they serve as the Co-Chair of the Board of Directors for the Felton Institute, the oldest nonsectarian, nonprofit social service provider in San Francisco. Dr. Woods also held the position of Chief Scientific Officer at Crestwood Behavioral Health, Inc. and was involved in various roles within the organization, including serving on the Pandemic Resource Committee and working as a Senior Consultant. George has been actively involved in the field of law and mental health, holding the positions of President, Immediate Past President, and Secretary General for the International Academy of Law and Mental Health.

Dr. Woods has also been involved in various committees and task forces, such as serving as a Committee Member for the Morehouse School of Medicine/APA/SAMHSA Center of Excellence focused on African American B, and as a Member of the UNESCO Task Force On Healing the Wounds of Slavery.

Furthermore, they have contributed as a Mental Health Curriculum Consultant for SPROKIT. Dr. Woods has made significant contributions to the field with their extensive work experience and involvement in various organizations and initiatives.

George Woods, M.D., L.F.A.P.A. completed their education in a chronological manner. George obtained a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, English, and History from Westminster University in the years 1964 to 1969. Subsequently, they attended the University of Utah School of Medicine from 1972 to 1977, where they obtained their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in the field of Medicine.

In addition to their formal education, George Woods also pursued further certifications. In July 2022, they completed a course titled "Clinical Research: An Introduction" offered by the CITI Program. Furthermore, in January 2022, they obtained recertification for the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MOCA) from the Montreal Cognitive Assessment Group.
