Kristen Scribner

Kristen Scribner has a diverse work experience in the field of digital media and art. Kristen currently works as a Digital Art Director at Cricket Media since 2014 and previously served as an Associate Art Director of Digital Media in the same company from 2013 to 2014. In their role, they oversee interactive and creative direction, design, and production for digital products. Kristen manages a team of 8 designers, design assistants, and animators, and is responsible for hiring, training, and managing this team. Kristen also creates, designs, and art directs digital editions and stand-alone activities with narration, animation, interactivity, and games. In addition, Kristen is responsible for strategic planning, design, and implementation for new digital products. Kristen launched 15 digital edition products and collaborated with the editorial team to create content. Prior to their current position, Kristen worked as a Freelance Illustrator at www.ksillustration.com since 2000, where they designed illustrations for children's educational games, stories, and poems. Kristen also created illustrations for greeting cards, invitations, postcards, flyers, posters, and fine art illustrations for display. From 2000 to 2006, they worked at Riverside Graphics as a Computer Graphics professional. In this role, Kristen prepared various marketing materials, including stationery, newsletters, brochures, and ads for press. Kristen also managed and updated the online ordering site for existing and new customers, automating online proofing and reducing potential mistakes. Kristen's earliest work experience was at Washington University Student Media, where they served as the Design Manager and Managing Editor of the Student Life Newspaper from 1996 to 2000. In this role, they oversaw the online and print editions of the newspaper, posting the online edition and leading a redesign that included establishing a discussion board. Kristen also provided feedback and support to the designers of the print edition.

Kristen Scribner attended Washington University in St. Louis from 1996 to 2000. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree with a focus on Visual Communications, specifically emphasizing in Illustration.
