Ben Struhl is an accomplished professional in crime and justice policy with extensive experience managing large-scale research initiatives and policy campaigns. Currently serving as the Executive Director of the Crime and Justice Policy Lab at the University of Pennsylvania since July 2021, Struhl focuses on reducing gun violence and advancing community-led justice efforts. Prior roles include Executive Director at the Center on Crime and Community Resilience, where notable projects included a USAID violence-prevention initiative and research on opioid overdose solutions. Struhl also held key positions at the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab, leading campaigns on crime prevention and managing significant partnerships. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree in Public Policy from Georgetown University and a Bachelor’s degree in Literary Arts from Brown University.
