Stephen F. Betz

Stephen Betz serves as the Chief Scientific Officer and previously as Vice President of Biology at Crinetics Pharmaceuticals since December 2009. In addition, Stephen Betz is a Scientific Advisory Board Member for Radionetics Oncology since October 2021. Prior to these roles, Stephen Betz held positions at Neurocrine Biosciences as Director of Endocrinology & Metabolism from June 2003 to May 2009, and at GeneFormatics as Director of Protein Biochemistry from January 2001 to May 2003. Early career experience includes serving as a Research Scientist at Abbott Laboratories and as a Research Fellow at DuPont Merck Pharmaceutical. Stephen Betz earned a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Delaware and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
