Michiel Roodenburg has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Michiel started their career as a Business Analyst at I-SEC International Security in 2005 and later transitioned to the role of Assistant Controller. In 2008, they worked as an Analyst Non-listed Fund Transfers at Theodoor Gilissen Bankiers. In 2009, they had an internship in Corporate Finance at Deloitte.

From 2009 to 2010, Michiel worked as a Treasury Analyst at Ahold, a leading retail group based in the Netherlands. Michiel then took on the role of Jr Risk & Compliance Consultant before becoming a Financial Controller for Stores from 2011 to 2013.

In 2014, Michiel joined Etos, the second-largest drugstore in the Netherlands, as a Business Controller for Retail Operations. Michiel stayed with the company until 2017 and during this time, they gained experience working for Ahold, the parent company of Etos. Michiel then moved to Albert Heijn, the largest supermarket chain in the Netherlands, where they served as a Sr Business Controller for Merchandising & Sourcing.

Michiel's most recent role is as the Co-founder and CFO of Crisp, a supermarket app that focuses on delivering fresh and affordable products from independent producers.

Michiel Roodenburg has a strong educational background in finance and business administration. Michiel completed an Executive Master of Finance and Control (EMFC) and a Master of Science (MSc) in Accounting & Control at Nyenrode Business University from 2011 to 2014. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Financial Management at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) from 2008 to 2010. Michiel also holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Business Administration from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, which they obtained from 2003 to 2008. In addition, Michiel Roodenburg briefly attended LIUC - Università Cattaneo in 2006 to pursue a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Economics. Michiel'seducation is complemented by various management and executive trainings at Ahold, focusing on personal development, skills, and leadership.
