Thiru Selvan JM has extensive work experience in operations and management roles. They started their career with International Flavors & Fragrances in 1998, where they held various positions such as Senior Manager of Operations and Manager of Manufacturing. During their time at IFF, they oversaw manufacturing operations, implemented strategic plans, and ensured adherence to quality and safety standards.

In 2005, Thiru Selvan JM joined DuPont as a Production Operations Manager. They restructured the supply organization to support growth and achieved world-class operational results within 18 months.

Thiru Selvan JM returned to International Flavors & Fragrances in 2007, taking on roles such as General Manager of Operations and Vice President of Operations in the Indian Subcontinent. They successfully restructured and turned around the operations organization, improving on-time supplies and meeting global standards.

In 2016, Thiru Selvan JM became the Director of Manufacturing & Supply Chain Operations for International Flavors & Fragrances in the EAME region. They revamped the supply organization, delivering best-in-class on-time performance and reducing fixed costs.

Thiru Selvan JM's most recent position is with Croda, where they have served as the Managing Director for South Asia Operations and currently as the Managing Director for Asia Operations since 2020.

Thiru Selvan JM completed a Mastering Business Agility degree in Business Strategy & Agility from INSEAD in 2014. Thiru Selvan JM also completed a Management Development Program with the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad in 2001. Additionally, Thiru Selvan JM obtained an MBA in Production from Newport University between 1994 and 1996. Thiru Selvan JM holds an M.Sc in Chemistry from St. Josephs College - Trichy, earned from 1992 to 1994, and a B.Sc in Chemistry from the same institution, attained from 1989 to 1992. Thiru Selvan JM completed Higher Secondary education from Little Flower Hr. Sec. School - Kumbakonam in 1989. Thiru Selvan JM obtained a certification called "Mastering Business Agility _ MBA" from INSEAD Executive Education in 2013.
