Scott Hanson

Scott Hanson has over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry. Scott is currently the President and CEO of CrossCover Insurance Services, where they founded the company and specializes in writing commercial property risks. Prior to that, they worked at AmRisc as the Chief Capacity & Underwriting Officer, overseeing underwriting functions and managing a team of underwriters. Scott also co-founded and served as the Chief Property Underwriter at Aspen Insurance Group, where they developed a book of commercial E&S business. Before that, they worked as the Chief Property Underwriter at GE Employers RE Corp. and Director of Energy at AXA XL. Scott began their career at CIGNA P&C as a Senior Utility/Petroleum Specialist and at Factory Mutual Engineering Assoc. as a Loss Prevention Specialist & Large Loss Investigator.

Scott Hanson has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University, which they obtained between 1982 and 1985. Scott also holds additional certifications, including CPCU in Good Standing from The Institutes, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (ICGB) from GE, and Associate in Risk Management (ARM-P) from the Institute of Risk Management.
