Merelise Hitte

Merelise Hitte is the current Chief Financial Officer at CROSSROADS RHODE ISLAND. Merelise has previous experience as the Chief Financial Officer at Jewish Collaborative Services from November 2018 to January 2020, where they were responsible for the overall financial strategy and direction of the organization’s business, finance and personnel operations. Merelise also served as CFO for JCS’s related entities Shalom and Shalom II Affordable Housing Complexes and Tamarisk Assisted Living Residence.

From October 2014 to September 2017, Hitte served as the Chief Operating Officer / Chief Financial Officer at Lincoln School. In this role, they provided day-to-day leadership and management guidance which mirrored the adopted School’s mission and core values by working with the Administrative team to achieve and surpass enrollment, advancement, other programs, cash flow and business goals and objectives. Merelise was also responsible for establishing internal and external processes and key performance indicators for the business and for their measurement and effectiveness.

Hitte has a wealth of experience in financial planning, budgeting, human resources, and legal compliance. Merelise is a strategic thinker with a proven track record of success in leading organizations through periods of rapid growth.

Merelise Hitte has a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Rhode Island - College of Business.
