Jim Cheek has been in healthcare managed services for more than 30 years. He began his career with ServiceMaster, leading hospital based teams as Assistant Manager, Coordinating Manager, and Resident District Manager in hospitals ranging in size from 125 beds to more than 800 beds. In 1989, while leading the team at Carolinas Healthcare System, Jim was the recipient of the Marion E. Wade Memorial Award of Excellence, ServiceMaster’s premier award. From 1991 through 1998, Jim served as Area Manager leading the healthcare business in the Carolinas, Virginia and West Virginia. In this role, Jim improved client retention and vertical sales growth over a 6 year period. Jim assumed a business development role in late 1998, and after a successful sales year was promoted to Senior Vice President of Operations.
In 2001, ServiceMaster was purchased by Aramark and Jim was promoted to Regional Vice President-Healthcare, leading the operations and growth of the Southeast region for the next 8 years. During this time, the region grew from $180M to more than $300M in annual revenue.
In 2009, Jim assumed the position of Vice President-Business Development leading Aramark’s Healthcare Technologies Sales Team. During that time, Jim expanded the sales team, creating specific roles for new market development, retention and vertical sales. Jim was also instrumental integrating Masterplan, Inc., an acquisition in 2010. During this time, new sales within the technologies business grew from $8M to more than $50M annually. Beginning in 2013, Jim led client development and retention efforts for all of Aramark’s Healthcare Sector.
Jim came to Crothall Healthcare Technology Solutions in April of 2016 as Division President, bringing with him experience and track record of growth, client retention and people development.
