CROW Working Group Ko138 - Sustainability Geotextiles at CROW

Rijk Gerritsen is a seasoned professional in geotechnical and hydraulic engineering with extensive experience in various roles focused on sustainability and the application of geosynthetics. Since August 2021, Rijk has served as the Manager of Geotechnical and Hydraulic Engineering at Naue Nederland, a company dedicated to sustainable building solutions. Concurrently, Rijk is an active member of the CROW working group on sustainability for geotextiles, and a board member of the Nederlandse Geotextiel Organisatie, promoting sustainable practices in the use of geomaterials. Rijk also contributes as the Chief Editor of the magazine Geokunst, which focuses on geosynthetics in civil engineering, and teaches courses on geomembrane systems and soil mix wall construction at PAO Techniek en Management. Previous experience includes significant positions at Low & Bonar and Witteveen+Bos, with a foundation in civil engineering from Royal HaskoningDHV. Educational qualifications include degrees from HAN University of Applied Sciences and Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences.
