Horea Coroiu has had a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Horea worked as a Software Engineer at Softvision from June 2006 to August 2007. Horea then joined Bitdefender as an Anti-Virus Researcher from July 2008 to July 2010, and later became a Proactivity & Kernel Mode Researcher from July 2010 to February 2011. Horea then had a brief stint at Kno, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer from February to May 2011, before becoming an Engineering Lead from May to June 2011. Horea then joined Microsoft as an Anti-Virus Researcher from June 2011 to September 2015, and was promoted to a Senior Anti-Virus Researcher from September to December 2015. Horea founded Binarly in November 2015, a startup focused on developing a state-of-the-art binary search engine. Binarly was later acquired by CrowdStrike, where Horea became a Principal Technical Lead in June 2016.
Horea Coroiu attended the Technical University of Cluj Napoca from 2002 to 2007, where they obtained a Bachelor of Computer Science degree.
